MNP: Mobile Number Portability system

Mobile number portability

MNP: Change your mobile service provider without changing your mobile number.

Mobile number portability in India is effective from 20th Jan 2011 which is really good news for all those people who are facing network problem by their network service provider and want to switch another network without changing their existing mobile number. Now people are able to change their service provider with better service provider network with the help of mobile number portability (MNP). Just pay nominal charges 19 INR (Indian Rupees) along with the application form and required document.

To change your mobile number service provider without changing your existing mobile number follows the step by step procedure given below.

1.      First of all you have to SMS the PORT to 1900.
2.      After performing the first step you will receive a unique porting number which will help you to port your number.
3.      Now SMS that unique number to your preferred service provider to PORT your number to that service provider, remember that your unique is valid for few days.
4.      Now your operator will check your any dues or any other fact which may restrict you to PORT the number. After completion all these formalities you may change your mobile number to your preferred mobile service provider.
5.      After this you will receive a SMS from new service provider which tell you that date and time of that porting session. This will be done in the next four days after applying for this service.
6.      Your mobile will be dead for two hours while the porting is being performed to your mobile phone number. Now pay 19 rupees and submit required document to the new service to avail this facility.

Mobile number portability is the power in your hand to change your existing service provider without changing in your mobile number.
Thanks to TRAI(Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) for launching  MNP system.

  2. Hello there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was
wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had problems
with hackers and I'm looking at options for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
